Privacy

We collect the information we need to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, process orders and provide support. This may include your name, email address, phone number, shipping details and details about your site and order.

We do not sell personal information. We share it with service providers only where needed to run our business, such as payment, shipping, hosting and email providers. Some of these providers may store or process information outside Australia.

Our website uses cookies and Google analytics tools to understand how the site is used.

Our website assistant (Matt)

Matt is an automated assistant that uses artificial intelligence. It is not a person. To start a chat we ask for your name and email address, and optionally a phone number, so our team can follow up your enquiry.

We keep a record of each chat, including your contact details, what you tell Matt about your site, and the page you came from. Our team receives a summary by email so they can prepare a quote and reply to you. We keep these records for up to five years. We may also review chats to improve Matt's answers.

Chats are processed and stored by Google Cloud on our behalf.

Please do not share sensitive information, such as financial or health details, in a chat.

Matt's answers are general information only. They are not a quote, an offer, or engineering, legal or insurance advice, and they can be wrong. Our team confirms product details, pricing, lead times and warranty when they follow up.

Your information

To see, correct or delete information we hold about you, email info@floodcontrol.com.au. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it or where they relate to an order or warranty.

Shipping

We ship Australia-wide and internationally where practical. Shipping times vary by product, destination, and order volume. If timing matters for your project, contact us before ordering so we can confirm lead times.

Returns

We do not accept returns for change of mind.

If a product is faulty, does not match its description, or is not fit for the purpose we confirmed for your order, contact us and we will repair, replace or refund it as required by the Australian Consumer Law.

Warranty

Where a product is supplied with a written warranty against defects, we send the full warranty terms with your quote or order documents. Any warranty we give is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Product performance

Our products are designed to hold back or reduce floodwater at the opening they are placed across, up to the height stated for the product or for your order. They do not guarantee that a property will stay dry.

How well a product works depends on it being the right size for the opening, set up as instructed on a suitable surface, and in place before water arrives. With some products, minor seepage can occur, particularly on uneven or damaged surfaces.

Water can also enter a building through drains, walls, floors and other openings. Our products do not protect against these.
